After a long flight from Quito via Guayaquil and stop in Panama we safely landed on Monday night in L.A. to spend the next six days in beautiful Southern California!

As the SoCal-Sun is shining always and ALL day long, we decided to rent a convertible (actually got a brand new Mustang). However still not knowing where to go, we met a very helpful American, Mark, at the Starbucks the next morning who encouraged us to make a round-trip via San Diego and Palm Springs. Convinced, we happily drove down to Laguna Beach for a nice long lunch right at the beach; we liked the place so much that we actually stayed till sunset 🙂 and then went on further south to San Diego for the night.

Today we actually went to Tijuana in MEXICO for a small revival tour (well, we crossed the border by foot and left the car safely on US ground- it’s Mexico, baby), as Florian has been to Tijuana eighteen years! ago- back then as a student…
