Day 2 in Patagonia and the sun is still shining for us! Back by bus to El Calafate we went to see the world-famous Glacier “Perito Moreno” in the afternoon. Spectacular! In comparison to glaciers we both have seen in New Zealand or Iceland, this glacier is huge and the far most exciting! When we arrived at the viewing platform, Florian pointed out one iceberg which he thinks might collapse very soon…and guess what? Within the next five minutes the exact same 300 year old iceberg crashed into the lake with resounding roars (see our testimonial photos)..it was incredible!
